The Club is a very friendly one and has a number of women and junior members.

We can also accommodate other associations wishing to practice shooting such as pony clubs, Duke of Edinburgh Awards etc.

There is no minimum age providing the person can shoot safely, but as a guide 12 to 14 is a good age to start, although younger children who are strong enough to comfortably support a rifle will be considered on merit.

Experienced shooters who hold a current FAC are welcome to come to the range and, provided they have a letter of introduction from their club, can shoot as a visitor.

Coaching Match Rifle

Those new to shooting may join initially as a probationary member and will be given tuition during their probationary period.

Regular complimentary coaching sessions are provided in all disciplines. Novices are taught safety procedures and range etiquette before being judged safe to shoot without supervision.

There is free use of equipment including rifles and pistols, shooting jackets and gloves, ear-defenders, spotting scopes and shooting mats. However, we do encourage members to invest in their own kit as soon as possible as it will help them achieve consistent shooting.
