Bookham Rifle & Pistol Club

FAQs

At Bookham Rifle & Pistol Club, we have done our best to create a Web site that anticipates most needs. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact us at bookham@surreysbra.org

What does it cost:
Members Range Fee is £1 per occasion and 50p for juniors.
Club rifles are available for use at no charge. Ammunition is available for sale at competitive prices. Ammunition not used on the day MUST be left at the range unless entered on the shooter’s Fire Arms Certificate.

While the Club can provide most necessary equipment, personal items are desirable for consistency. Initial purchases should be ear-defenders (compulsory), a shooting jacket and a sling. A shooting mat will add a touch of comfort. Much of this can be found secondhand although a jacket should ideally be tailored to fit.

What is the minimum age:
The Club’s nominal lower age limit is 12/14 years but much depends on the physical size of the shooter and their ability to hold and shoot the rifle in safety and comfort.

Fire Arms Certificates:
Are granted by your local Police Force after detailed inquiries and require two referees and are subject to stringent security conditions.
