Bookham Rifle Club
The Club is currently open for shooting on the outdoor ranges on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for members. Probationers attend training on Sunday mornings, the Target Shooting School sessions are on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Shooting, in all its forms, is one of the UK’s most popular sports. Target shooting is recognised and respected internationally and has always been an important part of the modern Olympic Games since their inception in 1894, and later the Paralympic and Commonwealth Games. It requires concentration and co-ordination rather than physical strength and so is equally suitable for men and women – and for girls and boys – from teenagers to pensioners – so it really is a sport for all the family, including people with a disability.
