The new spacious Clubhouse is warm, offers comfortable seating, free refreshments, wifi and toilets (ladies/disabled and men). It is a hospitable meeting place for members and their guests with full disabled access. There is also an area for the preparation and cleaning of kit.
In terms of shooting facilties, there are 17 firing points at 25 yards, 12 points at 50 metres, nine points at 100 yards together with six for field target air rifles with ranges up to 75 yards.
The air range has 10 firing points at 10m and 5 at 20yd with automated target returners. There is also a 6yd range which is used for junior learners.
Situated in the large car park near the main gates are separate toilet facilities. The car park has also been resurfaced.
The Club invests in new equipment and maintains and upgrades facilities on a regular basis in order to enable everyone to participate and to provide a safe and comfortable environment not just for shooters but also for parents and helpers. It also hosts a Shooting School for juniors on Friday evenings.
On the social front, our June AGM includes an Awards Ceremony followed by a popular fun BBQ for family and friends. The New Year starts with the Wappenshaw fun competition and social event with a cooked meal as well.
